1. Register by clicking on the "New Visitor" link. Read and accept the user agreement, complete the user information (name, address, email, choose a username and password) and submit. The boating profile is optional.
2. Posting Items.
(a). "Needed" postings are Free. Skip ahead to step 3.
(b). To post a "For Sale" item; Purchase posting credits. Each 'For Sale' posting is active for 90 days or until the part match is completed. You must be registered and logged-on using your username and password to purchase posting credits. To purchase a posting credits after logging-on, click on the "Buy Posting Credits" menu tab. You can also purchase posting credits using a check or money order. Multiple posting credits can be purchased at a reduced rate, (Marine Trader = 1 posting, Dock Swap = 2 postings, ..) Posting credits are active for 1 year. You can make a posting from active credits at anytime doing the year. Enter your account and credit card information to complete an on-line posting credit purchase on our secure server.
3. Post your boat parts and accessories on YachtsOfStuff.com. Select 'Post Ad' from the site menu (you must be logged-on using your username and password to post items). Select a category for the item to be posted. For each Posting, select a Category, and then any sub-categories until you reach a parts list. This will show you a list of 'For Sale' and 'Needed' parts. Click the link above the parts list for the posting type you want, either 'Post-For Sale' or 'Post-Needed'. Complete the part detail and click the 'Post' button. Your posting is now available on YachtsOfStuff.com to a world-wide boating audience. When your part is selected by another YOS user, an email will be sent to you with instructions for completing your item's part match.
Tip: Including a picture or diagram with your posting greatly improves your posting's part matching potential. You can include a picture from your web folder or YOS can host your picture for a posting fee. See YOS picture help for more details.
4. (Optional) Maintain your postings by logging-on and selecting from the "My Postings" menu tab. You can edit your part postings and availibility.
