Setup and Register a New Account Click on the New Visitor link and complete the account information. You can choose your User Name and Passwords. After registering, you can logon to your account to retrieve part search inquiries and messages. Click here, New Visitor, to setup and register a new account.
Post a 'Needed' boating item All 'Needed' Postings are Free! Post "Needed" boating items by browsing the Part's list Category to the bottom level of the Category. Click the Post Needed Item link and complete the required information. You need a YOS account and must be logged in to post parts. Click here to Post "Needed" boating items.
Request "For Sale" postings Search or Browse parts to get a list of Available Parts. Click on the part you are interested in to view the posting details. Initiate an inquiry to the seller by clicking the Request Part button. The seller will be notified by email of your inquiry. From there you and the seller can dialogue to complete the transaction.
Post 'For Sale' boating items "For Sale" Postings require purchasing a posting subscription. Postings can be purchased individually or packaged into a subscription of multiple postings. Review Posting and Subscription Rates and
Purchase a posting subscription. Post "For Sale" boating items by browsing the Part's list Category to the bottom level of the Category. Click the Post For Sale link and complete the required information. You need a YOS account and must be logged-in to post boating items.
Sell your Boating item to a 'Needed' poster Search or Browse parts to get a list of Needed Parts. A part match to a "Needed" item requires the seller to have an unused, "For Sale" posting available (purchased). Click on the part you are interested in to view the posting details. Initiate an inquiry to the buyer by clicking the Part-Match button. The Needed poster will be notified by email of your inquiry. From there you and the needed poster can dialogue to complete the transaction. If the part match is declined, the "For Sale" posting is posted for other users to view and purchase.
Purchase "For-Sale" Posting Credits There are two types of YOS Postings, "For Sale"(Seller) and "Needed"(Buyer). All 'Needed' Postings are Free! 'For Sale' Postings require purchasing Posting Credits. Posting Credits can be purchased individually or packaged into a subscription of multiple postings. Review Posting and Subscription Rates and Purchase a Posting Credits. YachtsOfStuff.com use a secure server for online purchases. To buy Posting Credits, use our secure server to enter your information online, or, mail a check/money order to YachtsOfStuff.com, or, call us at (401) 580-4956.
Reactivated Posting after 72 hour Part-Match Hold. To reactivate a posting,
3. Find the last message Sent.
4. Click the Message Subject to show the message detail.
5. The Message Detail will give options for 72 hour reactivation of your posting.
Attach Picture to my Posting
Your picture format should be:
1. In either .gif or .jpg file format.
2. Total picture(file) size should be less than 140,000K.
3. Height and width should not exceed 300 pixels.
You can attach pictures to your YachtsOfStuff.com posting in two ways.
1. Specify the picture location from your web folder. The picture will be loaded from this location when requested. File location will be in the form "http://www.mySite.com/myFolder/myPic.jpg".
2. YachtsOfStuff.com can host your picture. A posting will be deducted from your account for YOS Picture Hosting. Make sure you have a "For Sale" posting credit available before emailing your picture. Purchase Posting Credit Posting Credit Rates
After posting your item on YachtsOfStuff.com, click on "My Postings" on your YOS Home page menu. Click the Part Posting to attach a picture. Select "YOSPictureHosting". A Email window will appear. Use your Email software to attach the picture to the email. Send email to YOSPicture@YachtsOfStuff.com. Do not change any of the prefilled information in the email. YOS will attach the picture to your posting within 36 hours.
If you have trouble emailing YOS using this feature, email your picture directly to YOS@YachtsOfStuff.com, include your user name and your posting's title.
Post Feed Back You can post feedback on any other user you have interacted with to buy or sell parts. After you have logged in, click on your Messages link. Click on the Feedback link for the message and enter your comments and rating of your experience with that user. Note: Abuse of the Feedback and rating system may result in suspension or termination of your account. See YOS User Agreement for more details.
Edit my account's information You may change your account's information by logging on to YachtsOfStuff.com and clicking the link 'Edit my account's information.' in the 'My Account' (bottom left) box of your YOS home page. In your 'Account Information' and 'Boating Profile', click the 'Edit' link in the right corner to change your account or boating information. Make changes on the form and click the 'Submit' button. Usernames cannot be changed without YOS approval.
